Hey, Ramon.

Good question, wish I had documented that stat, seems like it would be really useful…

However, I did not, and I also did not sit down and knock it all out at once, but in bits and pieces. Additionally, I was sort of figuring things out with a lot of trial and error before I got what I wanted working how I wanted it.

If I had to make an estimate, I would say these phases took about this long:

  1. Adding Version Control: 20-30 minutes
  2. Adding a Build Process: depending on your experience with the tech used, a couple hours to a couple days
  3. Adding a Deployment Process: 30-45 minutes
  4. Adding Caching and Offline Support: 45-60 minutes
  5. Adding “Add to home screen” functionality: 20-30 minutes

Hope this helps, and thanks for the nice idea!

Also, please let me know if you feel, after doing all this, if any above times were absolutely crackers. I did all this quite some time ago, and am basically going on best-guess/memory… :-/

Cheers,
Atg
