With all the negative talk between Adobe and Apple and all the doom-saying about the death of Flash, Adobe made some bold statements at Google I/O regarding their future in the web business and their commitment to HTML5 with the applications.
Appears that there will be an HTML5 pack for Dreamweaver (including code hinting and starter layouts for HTML5), a rich-media ad design tool that uses CSS3 transforms and animation (including timelines, layers, etc.), and that Flash will support the VP8/WebM codecs!
This is pretty fantastic news for Adobe fans!
I was just talking with a colleague yesterday about the idea that Flash should have a publish option for <canvas>
… How cool would that be? :-)
Happy developing,
