I am honored to have been included in the HTMHell Advent Calendar this year!
The December 27, 2025 article continues promoting the idea of NoLoJS: Reducing the JS Workload with HTML and CSS; not eliminating JS, just reducing it, where possible, so it can focus on more important things…
The concept is to reduce our reliance on JS for things that HTML and CSS can now do.
This means less JS for you to write and maintain; less JS for the user to download; and less JS for the browser to process, keep track of, and react to.
So all of this is good for everyone!
Anyhow, that’s it for now, have a look and let me know what you think!
Happy reducing,
Atg
PS: And as mentioned in a previous post, there is a design library of these and many more no- or lo-JS patterns/components coming, so stay tuned!
