Today’s Readings

A few quick articles from or about “something Google”…

First of all, with the recent death of GeoCities, it surprised me to stumble across a Post that mentioned Google Sites.  I somehow was not aware they offered this service!

And once you have your Google Site built, why not make that website readable by everyone around the world?  In typical Google fashion, however, the “Google Translate Element” is not exactly easy to find…  Check-out the example site the article offers and see how long it takes you to find out how to get it translated…

Continuing with the translation idea, we now move to transliteration.  Now this one is impressive!  I would be interested to hear how close this gets to truly transliterating from one language to another…  Anyone?

And while we’re translating and transliterating, let’s get better directions to really make our travels better, what say?

Now, as long as I have a wireless connection, I can finally travel around India, being assured of getting where I’m trying to go, and being able to communicate with someone when I get there…

Hmmm… now where’s that passport…

Happy reading,
