Today’s Readings

I have long been a fan of the Creative JS community and the progressive work they produce.  While most of it is not-yet-ready-for-prime-time, it is great, ground-breaking work.  I especially love the interaction of music and visual of Rocking Dendrites!

MacGyver would just love this: Holding Together a Quantum Computer with Scotch Tape! (tl;dr: Quantum bits (qubits) have to be really cold (90 degrees Kelvin, -297.67 F, -183.15 C) to operate properly, so they’re difficult to put in computers; by Scotch-taping the qubit to a high-temperature superconductor, this is somehow possible…)

Will those geniuses at Google never stop solving the world’s crises??

And speaking of bacon

Way to go, professional website developer of the world! Making the web a slower place each and every day!

I love brilliant, out-of-the-box ideas, like mounting a dishwasher on the wall, and using it as a cabinet too! Other great ideas here, do read.

I also love lists like this, though more-so-lately only from someone that I have come to respect (otherwise, they tend to be the same ol’ shite!).

A multiline text-overflow: ellipsis, using pure CSS. Clever.

Finally, we can lift the caloric limits of our poor starving children in the U.S… (that was sarcasm, by the way…)

I have often thought of having something like this to keep my cat’s bed in the sun… Wait, I probably shouldn’t say something like that out loud…

A really slick modal window approach!

And finally, think tornadoes are scary? How about tornadoes made of fire!

Happy reading,
