Looks like I will be presenting an all-day Web Performance MasterClass at the WeAreDevelopers World Congress in San Jose, CA from September 23-25, 2026.
The MasterClass will start with a little level-setting to ensure we are all aligned with the Key Performance Metrics that define the modern user experience, including the foundational principles and nuances of Core Web Vitals.
We will then move on to diagnostics, examining live production performance issues found on major corporate websites before learning to navigate various monitoring systems and see how combining these tools with CI/CD regression tests can build a robust observability strategy to catch issues before they impact your live site, and bottom line.
We will also look into the evolving role and impact of Artificial Intelligence, including DevTools MCP
The day will also feature a hands-on “performance gauntlet”, where attendees will apply the techniques learned throughout the day to debug and resolve real issues in a live sample site.
